Vintage from before 2000

An old, natural cast of the human brain ventricular system by the prolific head preparator, E. Rack of the Anatomical Institute of Wuerzburg, Germany. Entire and complete and in good condition, with signs of wear from age. A rare and spectacular piece of original hand crafted anatomical rendering.

The ventricular system is a series of connecting hollow spaces called ventricles in the brain that are filled with cerebrospinal fluid. Cerebral ventricles provide a pathway for the circulation of cerebrospinal fluid throughout the central nervous system. This essential fluid protects the brain and spinal cord from trauma and provides nutrients for central nervous system structures.
